Payment

What type of payment is accepted for counseling?
Now accepting Optum, Untied Healthcare, UMR, Blue Cross Blue Shield, Cigna, Aetna, and Carelon insurance and select Medicaid HMOs of Wisconsin.
Credit and debit cards are also accepted at the end of each counseling session. FSA and HSA cards are also accepted.
Health Insurance
While I accept limited insurances, I would be happy to support you in seeking reimbursement from your insurance company for my services for those for who I am out of network for. Clients may seek to have a portion of their services paid for through their out-of-network outpatient mental health benefits. Payment options can be discussed during initial consultation.
What’s the difference between private pay or using insurance?
When counselors contract with insurance companies sometimes concessions have to be made. Such as the number of times you can see a client and the duration of the sessions. It is important to me to preserve the counseling process which can avoid conflicts with a managed care company at times requiring personal therapy data and details about your treatment.
Can I use a Health Savings Account, Flex Account, or HRA/HSA for counseling?
Yes. Using a pre-tax Flex or Health Account for counseling is a way to save money and avoid the hassles of managed care. Unlike using your health insurance for therapy, this route may not always require you to provide a mental health diagnosis.
